SG-Style Black Gloss Finish Electric Guitar (LYM-490F, Fast Shipping, Tariff-free)

I planned to use this guitar as a modding platform, things like the pickups weren't going to matter to me. My hope was that the manufacturers focused on the quality of the neck, and that is exactly what they've done. It's excellent. So major points for that. Are they playing it fast and loose with the term "ebony" for the fretboard? You got me, but it is black and not all that highly polished. I would say its more of a matte sheen. If you wanted to use the electronics for a while before replacing them, you absolutely can do that. But the wiring, the pots, the soldering; it's all merely passable, definitely could be better. If you want assurance, get the guitar a wiring harness. The tuners totally surprised me. They're kind of an oddball, avocado green I haven't seen before. But they work well. The finish is very good. The nut seems like it could be bone, but if it is, it might be some kind of composite as it doesn't quite resemble like a Musiclily "bone nut". I put a brass one on the guitar, and I will tell you why. I believe the guitar is made of nato, a fairly soft form of mahogany. I find that it's not the most resonant wood I've ever encountered. It's very sturdy, but I feel it absorbs vibrations a little bit. You may want to make up for that with your own hardware, something that will help carry sustain a bit better. It's hardly a terrible thing, but in my opinion, it absorbs vibration a bit more than say, poplar. Get some brass or heavier metallic hardware. Keep your string vibration up. I'm also trying out some cobalt strings for a strong signal. For the money, this is an excellent guitar. They've focused their efforts on the stuff that really matters and invested less heavily in the things people tend to change.

Great guitar and excellent finishes! Lightning fast shipping! AAA+++
