Guitar Kit Shop

Hi Kyle,

Thank you so much for reaching out, and a warm welcome to your very first DIY guitar build journey! We’re thrilled you’ve chosen our Black Beauty LP Style DIY Electric Guitar Kit (PLP-137) for this exciting project.

First, rest assured that every single one of our DIY guitar kits, including your PLP-137, is fully pre-adjusted at our factory before shipping. We’ve precisely fitted the neck-to-body joint and calibrated the connection angle in advance, so you won’t need to do any complex fitting work when your kit arrives.

Once you receive the package, you can directly assemble the neck to the body, apply the custom paint you’ve purchased, and then proceed to install all the included hardware and electronics.

To answer your question about additional supplies: yes, a basic soldering kit (including a soldering iron and solder wire) is the main essential item you’ll need for the electronics wiring step. We understand wiring can feel daunting for first-time builders, so we’ve created clear, real-photo wiring guides that document every single connection step-by-step. You can find the full wiring guide for your kit on our website here:

https://www.guitarkit.shop/blogs/wiring-diagramYou can simply follow along and replicate each connection shown in the photos for a smooth, stress-free wiring process.

On top of that, we’re happy to send you a comprehensive PDF guidebook packed with detailed tips, tricks, and full instructions for the entire DIY guitar kit building process. Just let us know if you’d like a copy, and we’ll send it over right away.

If you run into any questions or issues at any point — whether it’s about shipping updates, the assembly process, paint application, or wiring work — please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime. Our team is here to provide you with professional, factory-level technical support to help you complete your build successfully.

We hope you have an amazing time bringing your custom guitar to life, and we can’t wait to see your finished build!

Best regards,
Alice

Do you have to solder the electronics, or are they snap in and play?

Guitar Kit Shop

Hi Scott,

Thanks so much for reaching out with your question about our Black Beauty LP Style DIY Electric Guitar Kit (PLP-137)! We’re happy to break everything down for you clearly.

To answer your main question first: The standard version of this kit requires basic soldering for the electronics, and every detail of the kit matches exactly what you see in our product photos on the website.

Don’t worry if you’re new to guitar DIY — we’ve made the process super straightforward:
--We include detailed real-life photos of the fully wired circuit, so you don’t need to understand complicated circuit diagrams at all. You just need to follow and copy the exact wiring we show in the photos, step by step.
--The guitar neck and body are already pre-fit with the perfect joint angle right out of the box. You can attach the neck and body directly when you receive it, then move on to your custom paint/finish and hardware installation, no extra fitting or adjustment needed.

Also, if you’d prefer a completely solder-free, snap-in plug-and-play electronics setup instead, we absolutely offer custom options for that! Just reach out to our dedicated sales and customization team directly at sales@pangomusic.com and custom@pangomusic.com, and they’ll help you out with all the details.

If you have any other questions at all, just let us know — we’re here to help!

All the best,
Alice
