"Awesome starting point, a few hiccups

TLDR, if you're comfortable diagnosing some wiring issues and putting in some extra elbow grease for sanding, this is an awesome kit! The good: All in I spent about $300 (including stain and tools) to put together a guitar that is super unique and plays pretty great! The pickups sound like hot PAFs and the single could doesn't have much hum! The guitar looks so good, and it was super easy to get the hardware swapped from black to gold. The bad: The neck profile needs some work, the scalloped frets need touching up, some frets have sprouted a bit, and the output jack I received was broken. The Floyd Rose copy included in the kit is really sub par. It works, but you will want to save up for an upgrade in the future. My thoughts: I love working on projects. The problems this kit had dont stop me from loving it, but if you're looking to get a very accurate copy, thos might not be for you. That said I was surprised with how good it feels and well it plays once setup. The pickups sound really good and honestly, I think the only things left for me to upgrade are the trem and the tuners. I might get Fishman pickups in the far future, but I think a new trem is all this kit needs to be gig worthy. I love it!"
